How the SRC Trophy is decided
The Trophy league comprises ten teams playing each opponent home and away, so every club has 18 regular-season matches and the competition has 90 league fixtures. The Trophy, SRC Cup and Challenger Shield are separate competitions and their results are not combined in the standings.
The top six proceed directly to the quarter-finals; seventh plays tenth and eighth plays ninth in the wildcard round on 17 April 2027. The quarter-finals take place on 24 April, semi-finals on 1–2 May, and the Grand Final on 9 May 2027. Finalists and venue remain to be decided.
Round 5 snapshot
Cardiff lead unbeaten on 28 points, followed by Newport on 24, Ebbw Vale on 22 and reigning champions Llandovery on 20. Swansea are still seeking a first victory after drawing with Bridgend in Round 4.
