Purpose and editorial independence

RugbyOrbit helps readers understand rugby competitions, clubs, fixtures, standings and history. We are not an official representative of any league, governing body or club; commercial arrangements, if introduced, must not determine factual coverage.

Research and source hierarchy

Competition-organiser websites, official club announcements and union publications are preferred for results, fixtures, format and disciplinary decisions. Credible independent reporting can provide context, but rumours and unverified information should not be presented as fact.

Dated sport data and updates

Competition standings and statistics are time-sensitive. Pages should state the season, completed rounds and update date. Kick-off times and venue information can change. When verified live data is unavailable, avoid describing a dated table as live.

Writing quality, AI and originality

Content must answer a real question, add useful interpretation and not simply replicate sources or publish mass-produced thin pages. AI may assist drafting, translations, layouts or data organisation, but claims require source checks before publication. Avoid copyrighted imagery without permission.

Corrections and reader feedback

If you spot an error, use the Contact page and include the page URL, correction requested and a supporting official source where possible. Material corrections should be made promptly, with an update note where a change meaningfully alters the interpretation.

Advertising and conflicts

Advertising and affiliate relationships must be clearly differentiated from editorial recommendations. We do not encourage ad clicks or disguise promotional content as navigation. Commercial relationships must be disclosed on relevant pages.

Accessibility and multilingual standards

Pages should be usable on mobile, navigable by keyboard, and have descriptive headings and meaningful text alternatives for informative images. Translations should preserve factual accuracy, not just literal wording.
