How the Nations Championship works
Six teams from the Six Nations represent the North. Argentina, Australia, Fiji, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa represent the South. Each northern team faces all six southern teams once across the July and November windows. Separate hemisphere tables determine the rankings for Finals Weekend.
London hosts six crossover matches from 27 to 29 November 2026, pairing Northern 6th vs Southern 6th through to Northern 1st vs Southern 1st. The 1st-vs-1st winner becomes the Nations Champion. The hemisphere with more weighted Finals Weekend points wins the Hemisphere Challenge.
