League structure, promotion and relegation

National League 2 West is one of three regional competitions in the fourth tier of English men’s rugby. Each of its 14 clubs plays every opponent at home and away: 26 regular-season rounds and 182 matches in total.

The published National Two structure includes a promotion route for the champions, a play-off for the runners-up, a survival play-off for 12th place and relegation for the bottom two. Match points are awarded for wins, draws and try/losing bonuses. RugbyOrbit displays qualification colours provisionally until the current RFU competition regulations are confirmed.

The 42 Round 1–6 scores were cross-checked against club match records and published results; the league table was reconciled with Cinderford RFC’s England Rugby-supplied table. Some early club pages carry outdated fixtures, so the official PDF takes precedence for the schedule.
