How France’s Top 14 works
Different from the URC: 26 rounds and six playoff qualifiers, with league-table position affecting the finals route.
Fourteen clubs play each other home and away. Each club has 26 regular-season matches.
The top two clubs go directly to the semi-finals. Teams placed third to sixth contest the barrages to fill the other semi-final places.
The 2026/27 final is scheduled for 26 June 2027 at Stade de France. The team at the bottom is relegated, while the 13th-placed club plays the Pro D2 access match.
